“Two Place One Moment” explores the theme of topophilia—a profound emotional attachment to place—through a personal narrative spanning two cities: London and Changchun, my hometown.
Blending DV footage, 35mm film photography, and hand-drawn illustrations, the project traces the invisible thread that links these distant geographies within me. It is a study of contrast and connection, of foreign streets and remembered corners, of temporal dislocation and intimate familiarity.
Through layered visuals and subtle rhythms, I seek not to compare the two places, but to evoke the tension of existing between them—to inhabit a space where both belong, yet neither fully contains me.
